We are writing to send a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has contributed to our appeal for Othmann.

As a family, we have been absolutely overwhelmed by the support that has been given to our son and his quest to attend Belwood Lodge and Camp in Ontario Canada this summer.

Othmann is very excited and counting down the days until he leaves for Canada.  His sisters are delighted that he has agreed to send photos of his adventure and he promises to tell your readership about it on his return to Bahrain.

A huge thank you goes out to the GulfWeekly for its ongoing support of RIA Institute which this October will celebrate 20 years of providing inclusive education for children of all abilities.

Christine Gordon MBE and Dr Emad, Co-Founders of RIA Institute, as well as Gilan and Mary El Attar.

I was delighted to see and read an article written by Mai Al Khatib-Camille about how the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree and all the beautiful paintings.

With kind regards and best wishes. I pray for Shereen Arayedh to have many successful days ahead and I hope she achieves her drawing dreams as well as turns her art into a career as she wanted.

Kudos to her.

You don’t know me; I know you, I know  what’s being said about you. I’m the ‘whisperer’. I am socially mobile: Arab, Brit,  Indian, Pakistani, American and the rest, they all  invite me and share their world with me. Not  much gets past me but if you think it may have  done, email me on . . .

It’s auction time! Who is interested in buying this beautiful re-claimed-wood frame made by Nedhal Nooh and chalk painted by Sarah Clarke.

The frame will go to the highest bidder and all proceeds will be donated to Baloo’s Buddies. This will be used for their work to include, enable and inspire children with autism through art projects and educational support dogs. Baloo’s Buddies is an entirely voluntary non-profit intiative with RIA Centre which is an inclusive centre for children with autism, run entirely on donations.

The opening bid is BD50 and the auction will end on Saturday at 8pm (Bahrain time). Please enter your bid in the comments section found under the picture @the.noohs on Instagram.
