It’s truly the golden age of gold jewellery today as technology and creative excellence meet in a unique fusion of pure delight.

And gold being the most emotive metal of all, is it any wonder that designers have gone all out to exploit its adaptability to the hilt?
And as increasing number of women come into their own as independent, assertive individuals, they are clearly opting for the best expression of their unique selves by selecting the very latest in innovative gold jewellery.
The World Gold Council in a study done lately, points to major cultural changes in developing societies that have influenced women to take up more responsibility in their own appearance and independence in their purchases — a pattern set to continue as the wealth of developing countries continues to grow.
The research clearly indicates that gold jewellery markets should not simply be categorised as either “investment” or “adornment” for these two aspects clearly converged.
“The emotional attributes and benefits of gold, as well as its practical or financial benefits today play complementary roles to women around the world. The rise in the gold price over the past three years has not only added to gold’s desirability, but has also provided a stronger justification for women to buy gold jewellery,” said Moaz Barakat, managing director for Middle East, Turkey and Pakistan, World Gold Council.
And the success of this year’s Gold Expressions proves it. Bringing together the best Italian designers and manufacturers to produce outstanding gold jewellery for sale worldwide, it displayed the fervent and vibrant outpouring of this land’s legendary talent in designing.
