The Official F1 After-Race Party turned out to be a huge hit – and the Coral Beach Club proved to be the perfect venue for it, writes Sahar Mulla.

With a massive dance floor playing house and techno music featuring electronic House international DJs David Duriez and Mazi Namvar, set the mood for a perfect evening. In the second arena in the same venue, another Grand Prix party went on featuring DJ Dave Lee, aka Joey Negro, from London, following DJ Craig Bartlett from Wales. Likwid resident DJs Karim and Salime did the warming up in the two arenas up to midnight.
“The whole set up was so cool, the reserved seating in one area, the open-terraced VIP section upstairs, the massive dance floor and the sea-front made it look even more amazing,” said New Zealander, Gulf Air Flight attendant Jules Craig. “The DJ’s were perfectly placed allowing a massive area for dancing and space so that people could still mingle. Bahrain needs more gigs in outdoor venues.”

Popular Bollywood star and keen motorsport fan Zayed Khan and his glamorous wife, Malaika, were special guests at the Elite Grande.

A group of Batelco staff spent a day at the Bahrain Grand Prix with a group of young racing fans from the Child Care Centre.The children were entertained at the Batelco Lounge in the Oasis Complex from where they were able to enjoy the excitement of the first practice sessions.

The official Fashion TV Grand Opening weekend party, Glitz and Glam, was held at the Gulf Hotel’s Awal Ballroom, Manama. Known for being the biggest and trendiest parties in the Bahrain calendar, Euro Motors, which supports a range of lifestyle and sports activities, contributed to the event as part of its involvement in local community and sports affairs. “It’s was a fantastic event for people of all ages and a perfect platform to showcase all the new BMW X5,” said Euro Motors marketing manager Firas Barbir. Glitz and Glam was organised by Picasso Events Management and SP Middle East. Euro Motors had an impressive line-up of vehicles on display at the event.

MTC-Vodafone (Bahrain) presented F1 tickets to reward its customers who participated in the daily competitions and promotions.The presentation was held at MTC-Vodafone’s Experience shop at Seef Mall. Through a dedicated F1 menu on handsets, users were able to register for competitions and receive SMS updates on race day, with real-time updates on pole positions, race timings and schedules, BIC events and much more.
