American Retro has launched its all-new Summer 2007 Collection in Bahrain.
Despite its name it is a fully French, fashion-forward label that aims to deliver “serious style”.

The idea behind American Retro is to create looks for jeans because “jeans will always be a constant in the wardrobe,” says David, the creative director for the brand.
The collections, he says, radiate energy, a colourful pallet and young spirit and is proving to be an influential new label in today’s fashion world.
The design team at American Retro focuses its work on finding essential ingredients to personalise the collection with the sentiments of “hand made work” and fabric quality.
Intricate embroidery, crochet knits, retro-inspired prints and specialty cashmeres have become recurring characteristics of the brand.  American Retro’s new candy-hued collection combines old-school details with innovative design.
It is now available at Seventh Heaven in Al’ali Shopping Complex, Bahrain.
Meanwhile, a charity fashion show will be held by Seventh Heaven in the complex early next month.
The Perfect Prom Date fashion show will be held under the patronage of Children and Mothers Welfare Society secretary-general Shaikha Hind bint Salman Al Khalifa.
It will held on June 2 from 5pm and is open to the public. The show will feature some of the latest prom wear collections from American Retro and includes creations from celebrated fashion designers like Milli, Nanette Lepore, Manoush, Tracy Reese, Betsey Johnson, Tibi and Blugirl.
