Gulf Weekly Here’s how to get a perfect eyebrow

AT some point or other all woman turn to the eternal quest for a perfect eyebrow shape.

There are many different ways to get rid of those hairs and keep your eyebrows looking defined and sleek.
To achieve the first initial eyebrow shape perfect to suit you, I advice you have them professionally shaped after which it will be easier to maintain them yourself.
There are a few golden rules when it comes to getting busy with the tweezers.
Firstly, resist the urge to over pluck as you will regret it for weeks to come, but if you do need to infill the shape there are many eyebrow pencils and kits to choose from. Use an old toothbrush or a mascara wand (mentioned below) to brush brows into shape – preferably pluck eyebrows after showering as the pores will be slightly open and the hairs will come away easier.
You should also pull your skin taut before you pluck as this makes the procedure less painful. Using a pencil, place it vertically from the outer edge of your nose (the point where it lies on the brow bone is where ideally your eyebrow hair should begin) now place pencil at side of the nose again – this time on a 45 degree angle.
It should lie at the outer corner of the eye, ideally this is where your eyebrow should end.
If you would like to achieve a different shape to your eyebrow or add thickness then one of the best kept secrets when it comes to making hair grow is Castor Oil.
You may be thinking ‘no way’ but trust me, rub the oil into the eyebrow area before retiring to bed and the hairs will eventually start to grow and you can then change the shape of your eyebrows.
Other forms of hair removal are threading – which I highly recommend. Such an ingenious invention, what wonders a reel of cotton can do.
Other alternatives are waxing or sugaring. Alternatively, for permanent removal of eyebrow hair you could choose laser treatment but this does not give instant results and is achieved over a space of weeks.
Now the question is to pluck or not to pluck!
Luxury indulge: Hyxelin Dark circles eye cream
vs
Bargain purchase: St Ives dark circle diminisher.
Hyxelin eye cream is very expensive and in very high demand. It can now be purchased at Sephora in Seef Mall but a more affordable option is ‘St Ives dark circle diminisher’. It is an under-eye treatment with added Vitamin K and Retinol that shows a difference after a couple of weeks and after eight weeks makes a dramatic improvement.
If you do suffer with dark circles I recommend you purchase this product. I am currently using it and I will report back in a few weeks time.
