August 8 (Wednesday)
Ray Lewis, formerly of ‘The Drifters’, makes his first visit to the Middle East at JJ’s Irish Pub at the Al Bustan Hotel in Adliya.
Ray fronted the group during the 1970s and 80s and is regarded as one of their most popular lead singers. The soul band’s hits included ‘Under The Boardwalk’ and ‘Saturday Night at the Movies’, He will arrive on the stage at 9pm. For more information or table reservations call 36470314.

August 9 (Thursday)
Resident DJ Craig will be mixing up with chart stoppers from ‘now and then’ at the JJ’s Irish Restaurant and pub in the Al Bustan Hotel in Adliya.
DJ Jade will be performing at Likwid located on the second floor of the City Centre Hotel in Manama. Doors open at 10pm with a warm-up set by resident DJ Mr. K and Jade goes on at midnight sharp. Children from age three to 18 express the importance of water at the 2007 Little Picassos Drawing Competition being held at the Dana Mall in Sanabis from 10am to 10pm. The ‘Water is Life’ competition will be held in coordination with the Ministry of Electricity and Water. Children get creative to help raise awareness on water conservation issues in Bahrain. Award-winning Indian ghazal singer, Pankaj Udhas, will visit the kingdom for the first time in nine years on September 7 as part of his Silver Jubilee Tour at the Bahrain Conference Centre at the Crowne Plaza in Manama. This year marks 25 years of the Ghazal maestro’s involvement in the music industry. Celebrations are at the peak to bring in the Diamond Jubilee Celebrations of the Indian Independence Day that falls every year on August 15 at the Indian Club in Gudaibiya.
