Deliveries of Mercedes-Benz passenger cars in the Middle East and Levant were up just over 17 per cent in July to 1,083 compared to the same month in 2006 once again confirming the company’s position as a leading premium car manufacturer.

First half deliveries of 9,392 are also well on track to meet targets for 2007.
Deliveries of the C-Class rose over 24 per cent year on year thanks to the arrival of the superb new variant, while the E-Class sedan proved increasingly popular with sales up over 18 per cent.
Sales of the S-Class, the region’s favourite premium class sedan, were also up while deliveries of the region’s largest range of luxury SUVs, including the ML-Class and GL-Class, rose 30 per cent.
“The revolutionary new C-Class has proved highly popular with our customers who like the option of a traditional or a sporty face,” said Johannes Fritz, director, sales and marketing, Mercedes Car Group, Middle East.
Mercedes-Benz passenger vehicles set a new year on year record with 669,500 units delivered from January through July (January-July 2006: 658,000).
