India is set to become the latest and the 25th stop on the 2007 Ladies European Tour (LET) schedule when the country plays host to the Indian Ladies Masters in December.

Co-sanctioned by the LET, the Women’s Golf Association of India and the Indian Golf Union, the inaugural event, carrying a prize purse of euros 200,000, will be promoted and organised by ‘golf in Dubai’ from December 5 to 8, 2007 at a venue soon to be announced.
“The Ladies European Tour is delighted to be visiting India for the first time in its history,” said Alexandra Armas, LET’s executive director while announcing the landmark event.
“I would like to thank ‘golf in Dubai’ for promoting this event – the 26th on the LET schedule – on behalf of the Ladies European Tour,” she said.
“I am quite confident the standards of excellence set by golf in Dubai during the inaugural Dubai Ladies Masters will echo in India as well and we are looking forward to working with them closely.”
