Batelco’s Business Division has rewarded a number of employees for their high achievements during the third quarter of 2007 at a ceremony held at Staff Centre, Hamala.
The quarterly stars were named as Faiza Rajab, Hussain Alsafar, Zakariya Ahmed, Nafeesa Alabdi, Ahmed Alshaikh, Ali Mezal, A.Rasool Juma, A.Hadi A.Hameed, A Jabar Saleh and Juma Khalil. The event was attended by chief executive Peter Kaliaropoulos, human resource general manager Shaikh Ahmed Al Khalifa and senior officials.
The Typhoon bar at the Gulf Hotel celebrated ‘Columbian night’ 2007 with a dance event. The winners received gift certificates courtesy of Gulf Cellar. Best Dancing Couple prizes went to Mr and Mrs Parker, left, and Mr and Mrs Verjan.
Jawad Hayat, Division C Governor, a grouping of around 20 Toastmasters Clubs in Bahrain and past president of the Alba Toastmasters Club, has earned the Distinguished Toastmaster recognition from Toastmasters International. It is the greatest honour that can be achieved by a member of Toastmasters International and is awarded only to those who have demonstrated outstanding leadership and communication skills.
Mr Hayat is responsible in making Toastmasters accessible to Bahrainis. Last year, he lead the organisation in establishing chapters in almost all the major corporations in Bahrain.
