THE Bahrain International Exhibition Centre is set to host a huge consumer property exhibition from October 24 to 27, as Bahrain-based Arabian Exhibition Management (AEM)joins forces with Dubai Shows Limited to stage a unique joint event – Property Arabia and the Worldwide Property Show 2007.

Gathering the expertise of two major exhibition organisers and two established exhibitions, the event will feature more than 50 participants from 30-plus countries, showcasing thousands of the biggest and most exciting real estate developments happening around the world.

On show will be a wide range of residential and commercial properties and related services including apartments and penthouses, agents, architects, financial institutions, interiors, new city and town projects, resort and island properties and waterfront and luxury developments.

“Property Arabia and the Worldwide Property Show 2007 is the ideal opportunity for anyone thinking about investing in property to see what options are available,” Abdul Razzaq Kharraz, AEMproject manager said.

“By staging these two events together, visitors will enjoy an unparalleled choice of properties in local, regional and international locations – all under the convenience of one roof.”

Co-show organisers AEM, who run a highly successful portfolio of established events in Bahrain including the well-known Jewellery Arabia series, anticipate a considerable visitor turnout.

“The region’s real estate sector continues to flourish and attract interest. This is underpinned by various factors that include high population growth rates, sustained high oil prices and excess liquidity looking for investment outlets, strong economic growth, lower interest rates and new legislation allowing foreign ownership.

“Real estate is also increasingly perceived as an attractive alternative asset class due to recent stock market uncertainties,” Mr Kharraz continued.

The last edition of Property Arabia attracted 4,437 private and corporate investors, over 30 per cent of which came from outside of Bahrain. Visitors at Property Arabia and the Worldwide Property Show 2007 are expected to exceed 5,000.

Numerous major developers are taking centrepiece stands at the event including Bahrain-based leaders: Abraj Al Lulu, Abu Dhabi Investment House, Advance Middle East, Al Fateh Towers Real Estate & Investment, Aqar, Bahrain and Kuwait Housing and Construction Company (EMCAN), Grnata Real Estate, Gulf Holding Company, Landmark Properties, Landmark Bahrain, Marina West Development Company, Muawadh Management and Marketing (Reef Island), Olive FM, Orchid Developers, RealCAPITA and the Tabarak Group amongst numerous others.

“We are delighted to have the support of so many Bahrain exhibitors. Over the last couple of years, the local real estate market has witnessed a great boom due to ownership liberalisation and FDI.

“Their presence also reflects the rapid pace at which the kingdom’s real estate sector is growing, and the exhibition will highlight the numerous first class investment opportunities it has to offer,” Mr Kharraz said.

Other exhibitors at Property Arabia and the Worldwide Property Show 2007 come from Australia, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Thailand and the United Kingdom.

Many of the local and regional exhibitors who will be in attendance also provide marketing plans and direct sales for international real estate companies and projects outside the GCC, and will offer investment opportunities in the US, Fiji and the South Pacific, France, Spain, Morocco, Pakistan, Switzerland, Jordan and Egypt amongst other countries during the exhibition.

Property Arabia and the Worldwide Property Show 2007 is open to the trade and general public from 10am to 2pm and 4pm to 9pm on Wednesday (October 24) and Thursday (October 25), from 12 noon to 9pm on Friday (October 26)and 12 noon to 6pm on Saturday (October 27).
