MAJOR international brands have been unveiling their winter wardrobes as fashion connoisseurs get set for the new season buying spree.
A 'Wall of Fame' evening, held recently at the Ritz Island in the Ritz-Carlton Bahrain Hotel and Spa in Seef, had an enthralled audience captivated by the designs on show.
The Hollywood-style evening was highlighted with plenty of glitz and glamour with Bahrain's crme-de la crme, fashion aficionados and media representatives present.
With a brilliant sea view and a winter breeze that blended in comfortably with the settings, the evening had all the ingredients of a perfect evening of fashion fare.
During a 14-minute catwalk display models highlighted apparel ranging from ready-to-wear casuals to red-carpet gowns.
From pleasant colours, retro styles to stunning creations the clothes enthralled everyone in the audience.
The show began by introducing golden glamour by Italy's Moschino followed by evening gowns produced by another Italian fashion figure, Alberta Ferretti.
Classic American casual and winter styles were defined by Coach which also featured handbags, luggage and accessories.
Next to grace the stage were free-flowing and trademark kaleidoscopic prints by Emilio Pucci along with luxury footwear by Giuseppe Zanotti Design - often seen at glittering showbiz events including the Oscars, Golden Globes and the Cannes Film Festival.
Founded by an ex-Vogue magazine writer Tamara Mellon, Jimmy Choo shoes came striding into vision with loud heels and brilliant patterns followed by the very feminine styles from Sergio Rossi. Purple and magenta highlighted designs by French 'enfant terrible' designer Jean Paul Gaultier.
Last, but not least, regal styles from Ounass took to the stage. The fashion store retails over 80 international labels including Catherine Malandrino, Issa, Michael Kors, Antik Denim, Stuart Weitzman and French Sole.
Azal - a multi-brand store for luxury watches and fine jewellery - displayed accessories with different brand combinations throughout the stage sessions. The brand retails some of the best names from across the globe including Theo Fennell, Neil Lane, Judith Ripka, Guy Ellia, MediterranŽe and U-Boat.
All the brands showcased at the event are now available at the Al A'Ali Shopping Complex in Seef District.
