Al Bander Hotel and Resort, in association with Batelco, is hosting a carnival fair on December 7 to mark the kingdom's National and Accession Day.

The annual event, being staged for a third year, will be held under the patronage of the Ministry of Information and promises to be a day of fun and entertainment for the residents of Bahrain.

"The event has been hugely successful in the past and approximately 5,000 people attended last year's event. The most popular highlight last year were the fireworks display and this year we think that the Harley Davidson bike show and the Bahrain traditional band will be the show stealers," said Ahmed Mukhtar, Assistant General Manager at Al Bander.

Other highlights include go karting, fire show, stilt walkers, rope walking, laser show, magic show, henna, face painting, fireworks, Harley Davidson bike show, beach activities, food stalls and much more.

Organisers have also planned an inter-hotel beach volleyball final championship match and the prize-giving ceremony to the winner by an official of the Ministry of Information. The final volleyball match is the culmination of the several matches that were played earlier in the week by various hotel teams around Bahrain.

"We are pleased once again to add our support for the success of this annual event to share the happy moments with our staff at the occasion of kingdom's National and Accession day celebrations," said Mr Ahmed Al Janahai, General Manger Corporate Affairs and Company Secretary at Batelco.

Al Bander hotel and resort is located in Sitra next to Bahrain Yatch Club. Entry is free and doors open at 9am.
