Khandvi (savoury dish)

Ingredients

Gram flour 150gm

Curd 100gm

Salt

Turmeric powder

Water 600ml

SautŽ:

Oil 20ml

Mustard seeds 1tsp

Curry leaves 10-12

Green chilies 4

Grated coconut half cup

Coriander leaves according to taste

Preparation:

To the gram flour, add salt, turmeric powder and water and on a low flame beat the mixture with a wooden spoon until it becomes a thick paste.

Using a rubber spatula spread the mixture over an un-greased surface in thin layers and leave it to cool. While it is left to cool, make the sautŽ in a small pan by adding oil, mustard seeds and curry leaves.

Stir a few times and sprinkle this over the flat mixture.

Also sprinkle the coconut and coriander leaves.

Once the mixture has cooled down, cut strips according to choice of length and roll it up.

Ready to serve.
