Bahrain Islamic Bank (BisB), the flagship of Islamic banking in Bahrain, was voted as the Best Islamic Bank in Bahrain for the year 2007 at the most comprehensive Islamic Finance News annual Poll.
Islamic finance issuers, investors, non-banking financial intermediaries and government bodies from around the world were invited to participate.
Khalid Abdulla Al Bassam, chairman of BisB, dedicated the award to the continuous patronage of loyal customer base and shareholders' continued support, and attributed the forward looking vision of the board, high level commitment of the executive management and staff, customer care and best suite of products and services as the main reasons which secured the confidence in favour of Bahrain Islamic Bank.
Mohammed Ebrahim Mohammed, BisB acting CEO, said, "We are proud to receive the Best Islamic Bank in Bahrain Award. This award is recognition of BisB's strategic vision, our execution expertise, management depth and our belief and commitment in Islamic banking principles."
