INVEST in glorious Girne and you could be smiling all the way to the seaside. It is regarded by many travellers as one of the most attractive towns on the Northern Cyprus coast with a picturesque harbour, a fascinating old town plus a range of that are all within easy reach.
The good life in Girne, which was also known as Kyrenia, could involve jumping on a yacht watching the fishing boats float by on a calm, sparkling sea amid a backdrop of the jagged mountains behind you.
Girne is an easy place to laze about any time of the day. But the more adventurous can explore shops, markets and local cafŽs in the late morning, take a stroll in the narrow, cobbled alleys behind the harbour in the afternoon and in the evening, step out for a brisk walk along the promenade and sea wall.
