Gulf Weekly New Isuzu on the road

Motorcity and Isuzu have launched the latest Isuzu C&E series of heavy duty commercial vehicles in Bahrain.

Redesigned and built for the global market, the new C&E is intended for heavy hauling and high volume distribution and now offers budget-conscious fleet owners in the expanding Bahrain market the ultimate in durability, power and performance.

Isuzu is the world's largest manufacturer of medium and light duty commercial vehicles but this is the first time that the heavy duty trucks and tractors of the C&E series have been available in the Gulf.

MotorCity is the sole distributor of Isuzu commercial vehicles in Bahrain.

MotorCity AGM_Vikram Verma said: "The development boom in Bahrain and the urgent need for trucks in the heavyweight category has made this an opportune time to bring the Isuzu C&E to the kingdom.

"This type of commercial vehicle has never been available before in the region and we expect it to make a significant difference to fleet owners who are looking for maximum performance and productivity combined with reliability and durability."

Isuzu commercial vehicles are a proven performer around the world and the fourth generation Isuzu C&E incorporates the latest technologies to offer all the advantages of powerful performance and higher productivity.

Designed under a 'Tough and Harmonious' concept, the heavy duty truck and tractor units are easy on the environment, thanks to the C&E turbo charger which maximises low speed torque and acceleration, resulting in excellent fuel economy and reduced emissions. It also means that C&E vehicles meet rigorous Euro 2 air emissions standards.

Described as the "hardest working, longest lasting" commercial vehicles on the market, C&E heavy duty vehicles are in a class of their own.

They feature rounded corners, aerodynamic styling and sleek curves. A super high pressure, electronic control common rail system (a novel direct injection system for diesel engines) with precise timing is the most advanced injection system among trucks of this class.

Safety is a priority with the C&E series. Headlamp leveling, emergency locking seat belts, antilock brakes and four point mirrors are standard features and C&E goes one step further with robust durability and trouble free maintenance.

The rustproof cab is made of galvanised steel and has a protected underbody with special adhesives to ensure watertight seals. The suspension is engineered for extra strength and durability, ensuring a smooth ride and protecting the cargo from vibration.

Other features maximise the vehicle's effortless operability, enhance control and ease the burden on drivers. C&E trucks have power steering for easy handling, frequently used switches are placed at the driver's fingertips, and a quick glance at gauges and monitoring lamps are all it takes to get complete information on the vehicle's operating status.

Because cabin comfort is key to reducing driver fatigue and improving safety, C&E designers went for gold.

Both cab and instrument panels have been redesigned to minimize driver fatigue from long hours behind the wheel. A rigid, coil spring full floating cab features air suspension adjustable seats, and a tilt and telescopic steering column to offer the ultimate in safety and comfort.

Plenty of headroom and an expansive windshield make the cab feel roomy. There's even an optional bed for a quick nap or a rest at the end of a long day.

The end result is a redefinition of what heavy-duty trucks should be. The new C&E was launched at Gulafashan Restaurant.
