During this year's Formula 1 season, Bahrain-based Al Saraya Properties is set to entice home-buyers to their new project - the $20 million Al Marsa View Tower on Amwaj Islands.

Scheduled for completion in December 2009, the development has already generated record levels of interest.

In just three days, more than 25 per cent of the 15-storey tower was snapped up by eager investors.

Hussain Hubail, sales and marketing manager, said: "The apartments are selling very fast.

"The specialty of this project is that it has a full view of the Al Marsa Floating City which is described as a mini-Venice as it's a concept inspired by the Italian city."

The tower comprises 54 luxurious apartments in options of two or three-bedrooms. The top three floors will have penthouses which will be rented out.

Facilities for the residents include a health club, swimming pool, underground parking and 24-hour security.

Mr Hubail said: "Residents of the View Tower can also utilise facilities of the neighbouring Meena 7 development, which includes a private beach, state-of-the-art health club, exclusive retail outlets, seafood restaurants and a playground."

The project was designed by acclaimed firm, Middle East Architects.

The freehold tower is priced at BD78,000 for a two-bedroom apartment and BD118,000 for a three-bedroom apartment.
