A charity golf tournament featuring players from Awali Golf Club and the former Riffa Golf Club, (now the Royal Golf Club), was narrowly won by the three-person team of Iain and Emma Boyd and Debbie Lane with a total of 85 points.
The progressive team stableford competition, held at Awali Golf Club, raised BD500 for the upkeep of the Al Dana Memorial Stone located at Manama Cemetery.
The runners up were Steve and Yvonne Newall and Steve and Olive Wagstaff who achieved 84 points on count back.
Nearest the pin contests on the 4th and 14th holes were won by Mark Hooker and Steve Newall respectively.
The memorial stone was purchased in 2007 using funds raised in the inaugural tournament in order to commemorate the lives of the victims of the Al Dana dhow disaster.
