Batelco's latest innovative service, video conferencing, was launched under the patronage of Commerce Ministry Assistant Undersecretary for Domestic Trade Hameed Yousif Rahma at the company's Bahrain Commercial Complex (BCC) in Manama.

A number of Batelco senior management attended the event including Enterprise Division general manager Andrew Hanna, director products & services management Adel Daylami and government sales general manager Yacoob Al Awadhi.

Mr Rahma said that it was a great pleasure for him to witness the launch of Batelco's video conferencing service.

In launching the new service, Batelco is continuing with its commitment to offer world class services for the business community. Two video conferencing solutions were successfully demonstrated at the launch.

Batelco is to offer its customers the option to conduct video conferencing from the comfort of their own offices, or at Batelco's state-of-the-art video conferencing studio located at BCC.

Mr Hanna explained that one of the key advantages of video conferencing is the reduction, if not elimination, of business travel and the ensuing high cost of air travel and international hotels, not to mention the amount of time spent on travel.
