BEETROOT ZINGER
2 pcs Beetroot with leaves
0.5 cm (1/5in) Piece of fresh ginger; peeled
2 pcs Carrots; tops and bottoms removed
1 pc Orange peeled
Make a juice of all the ingredients and combine. Beetroot and ginger are a delicious combination-earthy and zingly all in one.
What you should know: The pigments in beetroot are much more stable than most red plant colours and hence, are sometimes extracted and used as edible food colouring.
Also, don't panic if your urine turns pink after consuming a lot of beetroot. It's harmless and it will soon return to normal when your intake falls.
FENNEL FETISH
1 pc Fennel bulb with the outer part removed
2 Handfuls watercress
20 pcs Mange-tout chopped
1 pc Apple cored and quartered
Juice all the ingredients together. Stir to combine.
What you should know: Fennel stimulates the liver and helps aid digestion. Watercress has been popular since ancient times; the Romans and Anglo-Saxons both ate watercress to avert baldness.
REJUVENATOR PEPPERY
6 pcs Radish with leaves
1 pc Lemon peeled
3 pcs Carrots tops and bottoms removed
Juice all the ingredients together. Stir.
