BAHRAIN super car manufacturer RUF ensures every customer who buys one of its mean machines undergoes training at its driving academy.
The RUF Driving Academy in the Middle East was launched last week at the Bahrain International Circuit and 35 guests participated in the event.
Mr Ruf explained: "We make very fast cars, especially with our new CTR3, but with that there is a responsibility.
"Every client who buys a car from us has to go on the RUF Driving Academy. This is to make sure they understand the car completely so they know exactly how it handles and therefore they get great satisfaction out of driving. We want to give this experience to everyone so they can gain the same knowledge with their vehicle. The RUF Driving Academy is here to serve that purpose."
The key message for the day was 'Safety First' which underlined all of the five instructors teaching methods. The day started with a seminar demonstrating different elements of driving a car at high speed.
Full of driving statistics the presentation discussed everything from braking distances at high speeds to finding the line coming out of the corner. Its purpose was to give a thorough outline of the dynamics of any car as well as super-cars.
Alex Longden, one of RUF Automobile's instructors based in Bahrain, explained: "It is important that everyone leaves with a greater understanding of how their car handles and how to get the optimum level of power from it whist maintaining road safety.
"RUF has been doing the RUF Driving Academy for 28 years now and it has been invaluable experience for RUF Car owners and non-RUF Car owners.
"The range of subjects that we cover during these courses is carefully thought out in order to achieve this."
