Getting myself an all-over tan - St Tropez style

I went to have my hair colour sorted the other day and came home with a full-on golden brown tan - St Tropez style. No sunbathing, no bright lights and no cancerous rays!

It's been quite a few years since I last had a spray-on tan and it was a deliberate decision to never have one again since the three times I tried it, it was always a disaster: streaky, fading unevenly and bright orange (like I'd just been Tangoed), not to mention the obvious wash-line on the hands because they were the most washed area.

With that in mind, when Chris first asked me if I wanted to be their guinea pig for the new St Tropez spray-on tan they've just started doing at Head 2 Toe I have to admit I was a little wary. I'm a sucker for punishment though and before I knew it I was being scrubbed and sprayed from head to toe in brown liquid. Hey presto! An instant tan!

It's a little awkward in so much as you have to leave it on for six to eight hours for the solution to develop properly but it dries quickly so you don't have to stick around. And it's great stuff. It lasts about a week and fades naturally and evenly, without the previously mentioned wash-lines. And best of all, it looks like a real tan.
