DISAPPOINTED Hamad Al Fardan says he is determined to learn from his bitter 'blow out' experience in the second round of the German Formula Three Championship held at the TT Circuit Assen in neighbouring Holland last weekend.
Bahrain's F1 prospect started the final race from third position after a superb qualifying run.
He had a great start and took the lead from the onset. However, on the very first turn of the opening lap he was hit by a fellow competitor and the impact punctured his rear left tyre. This forced him to crawl all the way back to the pits for most of the 4.555km track.
After the repairs were completed by his team, Franz Woss Racing, he returned to the race but was already well behind the leading pack, trailing the front runners by at least a lap. Hamad eventually completed just 12 of the race's 16 laps, resulting in one of his worst finishes of the season.

Sam wins golf simulator contests
Sam Mendis won a series of competitions held on Bahrain's first golf simulator, at the Riffa Views Golf and Leisure shop in Country Mall.
Sam managed to hit his tee shot nearest to the pin when playing a simulated round of golf on the seventh hole of the new Colin Montgomerie-designed Royal Golf Club championship course.
"A growing number of people have tried out the simulator over the past seven weeks and it's great that people can have the chance to play on a simulated version of our new course at Riffa Views before the real one has even been completed," said retail supervisor Jassim Habib.
