As anticipation of the arrival of the new flagship BMW 7 Series continues to build, sales staff from 12 of the BMW importers in the Middle East underwent an intensive training programme that covered all aspects of the fifth generation model.

Sales teams now have a comprehensive understanding of the new design and technology features that are expected to maintain BMW's position at the forefront of innovation.

Scheduled to arrive in the Middle East in November this year, the new 7 Series model will enter the Middle East market with two brand new engine variants - the in-line six cylinder 740Li and V8 750Li - both with twin-turbo technology and direct fuel injection. The 750Li, the flagship in the 7 Series range, has the most fuel efficient engine in its class and produces 407bhp and accelerates to 100km/h in 5.2 seconds.

The new 7 Series is the latest product to benefit from BMW's robust EfficientDynamics strategy that encompasses many technology innovations to offer outstanding performance and a reduction of fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.

BMW Group Middle East managing director Phil Horton said: "With the Middle East now being the world's fourth biggest market for BMW 7 Series sales, we are working closely with our importers to ensure we are well prepared for this imminent launch.

"The current generation BMW 7 Series model was launched in 2001 and went on to be the company's best ever selling 7 Series model. We are confident that the new model will surpass this benchmark."
