Mercedes-Benz Middle East & Levant has reported that it delivered 1,567 vehicles in October keeping it well on target for a record year.
Sales for the first 10 months of 2008 reached 16,423, nearly 20 per cent higher than for the same period last year.
"With increased sales and increased market share among our nearest German competitors, there is obviously still strong demand for our vehicles," said Frank Bernthaler, director, sales and marketing, Mercedes-Benz Cars, Middle East and Levant.
To cater for this, the Mercedes-Benz distributor will be offering special Middle East versions of the surprisingly affordable ML-Class and the region's favourite luxury sedan, the S-Class, this month, making them even better value for money.
"Despite the apparent global gloom in the automotive market, we know our customers are confident in the strength of Middle East economies and that this confidence, along with the resilience of our distributors, we help us reach a new annual sales record," added Mr Bernthaler.
