Porsche fans from across the   island travelled to colder climes to test both their driving skills and the car manufacturer’s new models.

Porsche Centre Bahrain, Behbehani Brothers, escorted 25 Porsche customers and enthusiasts to Finland to participate in the Porsche Camp 4 event.

Over a period of five days participants test drove the all-new Porsche 911, Carrera 4S, and Cayenne S in sub-zero conditions at the Arctic Driving Centre race track perched more than 9,000 feet above sea level.

The camp was led by an experienced team of Porsche instructors and world-class rally drivers who demonstrated the detail mechanism and use of the powerful Porsche models in extreme weather conditions. The course included circuit and slalom driving, hill climbs, braking, drifting and acceleration techniques – all topped with plenty of fun.

To round off this unique experience, Porsche members were treated to a host of fun activities including snowmobiling, husky rides and other cultural surprises.
One of the attendees, known to be the single most prolific car buyer in Bahrain, expressed his happiness with the experience and commented: “I have been on many car events and this is the only one I will go on again … definitely!”

Anthony Raymond, brand manager at Porsche Centre Bahrain, said: “We are glad to reward our customers with taking part in this one-of-a-kind event where they enjoyed every aspect of being a member of the Porsche family in Bahrain.”

Founded over eight years ago, Camp 4 offers both a one-day programme and a five-day programme at the Arctic Driving Centre, a test facility long used by car manufacturers for covert cold-weather testing.
