The Art House returns with monthly workshops for children aged six to 12 years starting in September on Sundays and Tuesdays at its premises in Saar. Cheney Fairchild, British artist and owner of The Art House will be offering limited places on the four-week course on learning how to throw and turn on the potter's wheel.

Children will have a go at making small and medium sized bowls and forms, including learning basic turning and glazing techniques. On completion of the workshop, children will have their first thrown pots to take home. It will enable children to progress from a beginner level to an intermediate level in an atmosphere that is relaxed and fun, allowing the student to explore their creative flair and advance at a comfortable pace at the wheel.

Sunday sessions include September 6, 13, 20 and 27 and Tuesday sessions include September 8, 15, 22 and 29.

Timings are 2.30pm to 4pm for Session one and 4.30pm to 6pm for session two on both days.
