Dear Stan,I read with interest about the new National Charter Edifice in last week's GulfWeekly and it certainly appears to be a welcome attraction to the kingdom's cultural and tourism scene and a splendid gift to the people of Bahrain from His Majesty King Hamad.
I was surprised that it is not being opened to the public until April as being situated in Sakhir it could be an additional magnet for the thousands of visitors coming for the Gulf Air Grand Prix next month and a great way to showcase the country with its 'hands-on' exhibitions.
Perhaps the authorities will reconsider and open it earlier? Also, perhaps a snappier name would make it more attractive and help sell it to visitors too.
Jonathan Onions,
Budaiya.
