The Seef Mall was once again converted into a fashion-lovers' paradise as models, both children and adults, walked the aisles showing off the latest trends available at its stores.
The weekend 'Fashion Parade' was held at five different parts of the mall from 6pm to 8pm with occasional ramp walks and mini-fashion shows, following a similar thread to the successful event staged a week before.
The show was organised by Simply-Casting. Angel Cecil, founder and managing partner, said: "It was a 'walking-talking' fashion parade. It was very successful, we are very happy with the tremendous response it has created.
"Over the two weekends, we conducted a customer survey and received great feedback. Some shoppers were so amused they followed the fashion parade all through the mall!"
The latest local and international trends were highlighted by 40 models, including children and teenagers as well as five models flown in from Abu Dhabi especially for the shows.
Models posed on escalators, walkways, on a special podium as well as taking the role of shop 'living mannequins'.
The brands that were highlighted were Tommy Hilfiger Girls, Agatha, Kenneth Cole Guys, Tommy Hilfiger Kids, House of Trend Designer, Rado Watches, ABS, BCBG Max Azria, Celio, Monsoon Kids, Khaleda Designer, Gant Woman, Liu Jo, Gant Man, Premaman Kids, Latifa Al Khalifa, Pull n Bear Girls, Massimo Dutti Guys, Adams Kids and Aurora Designer.
Last weekend the outfits showcased included Origem, Monsoon, H&M Guys, Pumpkin Patch, Joz Salon, Hobbs, Kenneth Cole Girls, Tommy Hilfiger guys, Tape A L'oeil Kids, Sadeem Designer, BCBGeneration, H&M Girls, Sun & Sand Guys, H&M Kids, Khulood Khalaf, Karen Millen, Massimo Dutti Girls, Pull & Bear Guys, Sun & Sand Kids and Fustani Designer.
Shop managers were also delighted with the fashion fiesta as customers followed the displays into their stores. Angel explained: "We were told that shoppers walked into stores described the designs that they had liked on display and bought the items straight away!"
The event was also brought to life by popular entertainers Krazy Kevin and Tony Attalla and a team of five DJs. Visitors also got the chance to receive advices from personal stylists and fashion photographers.
A special charity auction was held after every parade at the Mini Catwalk at the Al Hawaj store. Angel explained that they were able to collect BD300 which will be donated to a local charity.
The mall is also running a 'Shop & Win' raffle extravaganza where visitors get a chance to win shopping vouchers worth a total of BD20,000 as well as three MINI Cooper cars.
Shoppers receive a coupon for every BD20 they spend on purchases across all retail outlets in the mall, including the food court, cinema and Magic Island, which they can drop in a 'Big Win Box' at the Customer Service Counters at Gate number 4 and Gate number 3 to qualify for the draws.
