The new Motorcity Isuzu Showroom in Nuwaidrat was officially inaugurated with the launch of two new vehicles by Japanese automobile company Isuzu.
The N Series Reward trucks and the 2011 D-MAX pick up were unveiled to guests by Bahrain Marketing & Servicing Co (BMSC), the sole distributor of Isuzu in Bahrain.
The event was attended by Norfumi Matsimutu, general manger, Isuzu Motors Ltd - Japan along with Motorcity's management officials and invited customers from a range of interested business sectors. BMSC is one of the companies operating under Motorcity Holding, an established player in Bahrain's automobile sector offering some of the world's leading passenger and commercial brands under its umbrella.
Satish Nair, brand manager of Motorcity, said: "It has been our long term wish to have an exclusively commercial showroom. We opened our facility for business in March and decided for the official opening with the launch of Isuzu's new models.
"For customers looking to buy a series of equipment and products, they needn't go to several shops - the new showroom offers a one-stop shop for all their requirements."
The showroom boasts a total built-in area of 3,000 sqm with an exclusive identity for Isuzu's product range spread over 750 sqm. Company officials explained that the investment Motorcity made in the state-of-the-art showroom during some of the worst economic times across the world was a clear indication of its trust in Isuzu as a reliable and trusted brand and its future plans.
The N Series Reward comes with the next generation engines built on the proven performance of Isuzu power plants supported by a common-rail fuel injection system that delivers higher levels of power, fuel efficiency and low CO2 emissions.
An enhanced body design makes it more durable and lighter for better control on the vehicle; also the larger windshield gives the driver a clearer view ensuring greater visibility and safety.
A new design allows the drivers easy access, thereby reducing driver fatigue and efficiency. In addition to that, the computer analysis and actual testing of vehicles have ensured that the cooling system closely matches with the high performance of the engine and the emission control systems.
Reward offers versatility with trucks for every application with a wide variety of rear bodies (three drop gates & dump), application-specific models and modifications to choose from, depending on the specialised needs of the customer's business.
The lineup is available in standard cab, wide cab and crew cab (double cabin) versions and costs between BD7,200 to BD11,000.
The D-MAX 2011 has been enhanced with the concept of an ultimate multi-purpose vehicle for business, leisure or any other utility desired by the owner. Isuzu D-MAX pickups are known for possessing all the qualities of a professional workhorse such as carrying loads of cargo safely to far flung destinations with lesser fuel consumption (more than 1,000km with one-tank refuel).
The pick up comes with an enhanced engine with high flat torque. It's sophisticated exterior design and interior design matches with the ones available in modern SUVs and has a durable structure with the rigid chassis. Other enhancements with the new model are a new front grille with a tough and strong impression, sporty wheels, interior panel with orange lighting and a new interior colour option with red and black.
The D-MAX pick up comes in 2WD & 4WD options with Regular Cab (single cabin) Standard, flat bed, LS and Crew Cab (double cabin) Standard and LS versions. Its price ranges from BD5,100 to BD7,750.
