With a total of 3,146 vehicles delivered to the GCC and Levant over the first half of 2010, Audi Middle East has reported a healthy 8.5 per cent growth in sales.
Audi's sport utility vehicles (SUVs) have proven to be most successful with the Q7 being the best selling model, followed by the Q5, which also registered the strongest growth with an increase of 46.6 per cent last year and became the clear leader in the German premium compact SUV segment.
"We are proud to report sustainable, healthy figures for the first half. Audi AG is aiming for another sales record of more than 1,000,000 cars delivered worldwide this year. The Middle East is an important part of that," said Jeff Mannering, managing director of Audi Middle East.
"Still to come this year are the new Audi R8 Spyder and our new flagship, the A8."
For the period January through June Audi AG reported a worldwide sales increase of 19.1 per cent to 554,950 units compared to the corresponding period of last year.
