The Autumn Fair, one of Bahrain's most popular shopping expos will return to the Bahrain International Exhibition & Convention Centre from January 26 to February 3.

Packed with over 770 exhibitors from 28 countries, this fair will showcase thousands of products from across the glob from specialty food, fashion and furniture to technology, toys, textiles and much more.

It will open daily from 10 am to 1 pm and 4 pm to 10 pm on January 27, 29, 30 and 31 and February 1, 2 and 3. On January 26 and 28 the exhibition will open from 12 pm to 10 pm. A Japanese Film Festival is being organised by the Japanese Embassy in association with the Bahrain Japan Friendship Society and the Shaikh Ebrahim bin Mohammed Al Khalifa Centre for Culture and Research opening on January 27 from 7pm to 9pm at the Shaikh Ebrahim Centre in Muharraq. The festival begins with the screening of 'Swing Girls'. 'Aiki' will be staged on February 10 and 'Hinokio' on February 17. All four movies will be screened in Japanese, with English subtitles. A professional production of Mozart's Don Giovanni will open at the Bahrain Conference Centre on January 28 and 29 before moving on to Beirut and Cyprus later in the year. The cast features Marc Callahan and Mina Katerina accompanied by an orchestra. Tickets are BD35 each, including dinner and a beverage or BD66 for a couple and can be purchased from Al Osra, Bookcase, the Crowne Plaza. The Bahraini French Business Club (CAFB) and the French Embassy of Bahrain will organise the French Week 2011 from February 23 to March 1. It will also host a delegation of French businessmen as well as members of the Franco-Arab Chamber of Commerce, Bahrain Chamber of Commerce, the Bahrain France Business Club and the French Embassy for a three-day workshop from February 27.

The Rainbows for Bahrain in Muharraq will celebrate the Chinese New Year, the Year of the Rabbit, on February 3 from 9.30am to 10.30am with drumming and dancing. Children aged seven and below are welcome with their parents. There will be the ceremonial Dragon/Lion Dance welcoming the New Year, drumming, fun and games.
