LISA Powick, stable manager at the Dilmun Riding School, was left with a dilemma last week, as one of her instructors had to leave suddenly.

What to do about the Tiny Tots classes on a temporary basis? Loath to cancel them and cause disruption, she tentatively suggested to Fran Downes and Andrea Gowdy they give some consideration and thought to taking over.

They seized the opportunity with total gusto and are now absolutely having a ball. There was a 10 week plan for Tiny Tots, so the ladies were able to see what had been covered and what needed to be taught in the weeks to come.

Both Andrea and Fran have children of that age, which meant that many of the youngsters and parents already knew these lovely ladies from school and other activities. Conclusion: children, parents, instructors and manager all happy!
