TOMORROW'S leaders will be offered an opportunity to uncover the activities and roles of organisations and people who are in the forefront of entrepreneurship development in Bahrain.
Entrepreneur's Day 2011, a one-day event being organised by AIESEC Bahrain and Bahrain Development Bank, on May 31, will comprise of various interactive workshops and panel discussions.
Aisha Siddiqa, the organising committee VP, communication and marketing, said: 'Our purpose is to help mobilise the youth in Bahrain towards an entrepreneurial mindset and prepare them for a career in entrepreneurship.
'This year's Entrepreneurs Day focuses on introducing the different types of entrepreneurship, including social entrepreneurship, to the participants and facilitate interaction between them and successful entrepreneurs in Bahrain.
'Our main goals for this event are to provide clear and cutting-edge knowledge on each type of entrepreneurship, to help the participants identify best practices when establishing a new business in any sector and to resolve any queries they may have regarding starting a new business.
'I'd like to stress upon everyone the importance of participating in such an event. Whether they be from business backgrounds or IT or have studied biology or art. This is for everyone. You may have a great idea and you never know ... the world might need it.'
Also, as part of the event's agenda, presentations will be conducted on entrepreneurial success stories by the entrepreneurs themselves.
The panelists will include key institutions involved in the set-up of entrepreneurial businesses as well as entrepreneurs. Exact panel topics will be defined closer to the event date and will encompass key focus topics to provide the attendees with the relevant information to assist them in their careers.
