The Porsche Kids Driving School visited the Bahrain Rugby Club to teach children an important lesson in road safety.
Porsche’s educational programme has become a successful platform to teach children about road safety in a fun environment.
The young audience, aged between five and eight, were introduced to the most important traffic rules such as how to use a pedestrian crossing safely and how to react at traffic lights.
Besides emphasising the importance of wearing seat belts, the children also learned about the most important road signs.
The drive on a Porsche 911 pedal car on a specially designed track made the practical part of the programme an unforgettable experience.
General road safety signs, zebra crossings as well as traffic signals were all set up at the track to provide the young drivers with a ‘real’ driving practice.
“The Porsche Kids Driving School is a very important project for Porsche Centre Bahrain. We see it as our mission to create young responsible drivers and are extremely proud to have played a host to these young children during the event,” said Firas Barbir, business development manager of Porsche Centre Bahrain.
“It is great to see that the Porsche Kids Driving School combines learning with fun and is immediately accepted by the kids. We hope to continue this project in the next years to come.”
More than 200 children participated in the event and they received a special certificate.
Each child walked away with a ‘First Driving License’ along with other souvenirs from the experience.
