BENTLEY’S flagship model, the Mulsanne, has proved so successful in the region since its launch that dealers have been struggling to meet demand.
With cars barely arriving in the showrooms before customers place their orders, Bentley dealers across the Gulf and wider Middle East have already sold 120 units of the model, which has been hailed as the very best in refined, luxury motoring.
“The new Mulsanne has proved to be tremendously popular and we are struggling to meet customer demand,” said Chris Buxton, Bentley’s regional director for Middle East, India and Africa. “Historically, there has always been strong interest in every one of the brand’s flagships, but the Mulsanne is exceeding all expectations.”
The Middle East is a key market for Bentley, accounting for more than eight per cent of the company’s global sales.
“With consistent sales through the recession and many months still to run in 2011 we expect this to be a record year for our flagship model,” added Mr Buxton.
The Mulsanne comes with a 6.75 litre V8 engine. It is handcrafted and combines the brand’s history and prestige with cutting-edge technology and performance.
