Jawad Business Group (JBG), marked the 31st anniversary of the opening of its supermarket in Barbar with a cake-cutting ceremony for staff members and customers.
The group pioneered the supermarket concept with Jawad Superfare in Manama before opening Jawad Supermarket in 1980, now part of the thriving Jawad Dome complex.
Deputy chairman Abbas Abdullah Hussain said: “We are delighted to reach this milestone and thank our wonderful staff and customers for their continued support. ”
Fadi Al Mahmid, operations manager, said: “When we initially started we offered only local products but have since expanded to offering a range of imported products, especially from the UK.”
The group currently has supermarkets and stores in 35 locations throughout Bahrain, including The Jawad Dome at Barbar and The Centre at Nwaidrat.
