Kia continues to grow and impress and the drive forward into prominence in a highly-competitive marketplace is best illustrated by its latest model, the new Cerato.

The Korean automaker has called on the expertise of German engineer Peter Schreyer to ensure this vehicle blends high efficiency with a wallet-friendly price.

Inside, the cockpit of this sedan is spacious and comfortable. The seats are leather and there is ample leg-room for passengers in the rear.

In terms of on-board technology, there is Bluetooth integration via the stereo, a six-disk CD changer and an auxiliary output to plug in MP3 players.

The Cerato came up trumps when I took it around the numerous backstreets of Adliya. Despite its relative size, the car is surprisingly easy to manoeuvre and even though those tight turns can be tricky, the sleek sedan rose to the occasion, taking the corners with ease.

Cruising along the highway allowed the model to prove its ability to accelerate effortlessly and the drive felt firm and responsive throughout.

Under the bonnet, the Cerato boasts a 1.6-litre engine with a 6-speed automatic transmission. This isn’t a car naturally made for speed but it will definitely get you where you need to be comfortably and safely.

Some of the finer creature comforts include a power sun roof, rear parking sensors, keyless entry and a push start ignition.

In terms of safety features, the Cerato boasts a reinforced body shell which meets European standards, an essential plus on the roads of the Gulf States, driver and passenger side SRS airbags and seatbelt pre-tensioners as well as an ABS braking system.

If you’re looking for a vehicle that offers value for money, plenty of space and a unique style of its own, look no further than the Kia Cerato.

Prices start from BD5,600 on the road. For more details, contact Kia Motors on 17408800.
