Brides from across the kingdom are being
offered the chance to sparkle and shine on their big day with the help of a new
collection by a leading Bahrain jeweller.
Al Zain Jewellery launched its latest
bridal sets featuring traditional and yellow diamonds as well as rubies and
emeralds at its flagship Bahrain store in Seef Mall.
Its chairman Nabeel Al Zain said: “This
year we are concentrating on large feature stones surrounded by intricate work,
as well as always looking for something new to make each bride unique.
“We wanted to make it more modern as most
people in the Gulf like simple yet rich-looking pieces. The majority of our
sets are one-off pieces and take six to eight weeks to create. No two brides
will be the same and many are also customised to suit the individual taste of
the wearer and their budget.”
The 2012 Bridal Collection features simple
and elaborate sets incorporating the favoured bridal stones in every imaginable
cut, with floral, heart-shaped and tear drop motifs running throughout the
range. This year’s collection showcases large centre stones, but also includes
an ‘illusion’ diamond range where smaller stones create the illusion of a
single gem.
It follows the award-winning success of Al
Zain’s recent Arab Deco collection. This reflected a global style change that
occurred in the 1920s inspired by the glamour of the Art Deco period fused with
the strict rhythmic and linear patterns of the Arabesque motif.
Al Zain’s sets range in price from BD2,000
to BD500,000 and pieces from the new bridal collection will tour the regional
stores ahead of wedding season.
Established in 1930 in Bahrain, Al Zain
