VIVA will be sponsoring a junior golf series at the Royal Golf Club (RGC) for the remainder of 2012.
The VIVA Junior Saturday Series is open to all young golfers with categories for under-12, under-16 and under-21 age groups and competitions will be held twice per month.
Over the summer months the 9-hole competitions will tee off on the par-3 Wee Monty course at 7pm. The overall winner from each of the three age categories will receive a Huawei X5 android phone courtesy of the telecom company.
"We are really pleased to have secured VIVA’s support for this series," said Paul Crowe, the RGC’s director of golf operations. "The series provides grass roots support to promising young golfers of all ages and nationalities."
Andrew Hanna, VIVA chief commercial officer, added: "Through our partnership with the RGC we hope to be able to nurture budding young golfers, and expose them to bigger competitions, and we think the Junior Saturday Series will allow us just that."
