Families from across the kingdom are being offered the chance to win a variety of prizes by collecting tokens in a dome replicating the popular British TV game show The Crystal Maze.
‘Will you start the fans, please’ were the words famously uttered during the 1990s TV game show and now, people in the kingdom can experience the same thrill of the chase at Seef Mall’s Fantasy Challenge.
The crystal dome, located in the new extension of Seef Mall, is offering participants 15 seconds to attempt to find the rare pieces of red confetti blowing around a glass dome to win instant prizes.
Alia Zaidan, nine, from Isa Town, said: “I’ve been asking my parents to bring me here every day because I’m on summer vacation. The crystal dome is my favourite, it’s so much fun. I’ve been on it plenty of times but haven’t won anything yet. I’m going to keep trying until I do!”
Other activities include The Chamber of Secrets, an elaborate and cleverly-designed maze, the Genie Jump, a trampoline created for older children and Feed the Dragon, where children aged three-to-six catch toy fish in a pond and feed them to their fiery friend.
Robert Addison, Seef Properties’ general manager, said: “The Fantasy Challenge has been introduced to cater to families during the summer holidays. It is a good getaway from the heat and a way to relax in a cool atmosphere, enjoy shopping and fun-filled activities, all at the same time.
“We see it as a way for families to spend time together. It’s also the perfect destination for tourists visiting Bahrain this summer.”
Prizes to be won include Magic Island cards, toys, TVs, iPads, iPhones, Seef Cineplex combo tickets, Gulf Air tickets, BBQ grills, outdoor sofa sets, gift vouchers, two nights stay at Fraser Suites as well as the chance to win the grand prize of a 2012 Chevrolet Tahoe for every BD20 spent at any of the mall’s outlets and for every night spent at Fraser Suites Seef.
Lana Kanaan, eight, from Seef, said: “Two days ago I won an iPod shuffle. I really enjoy the dome and will be back to have another go at winning prizes.”
The Seef Fantasy Challenge will continue until August 25 with the addition of many more games and activities every two weeks, including attractions specifically added so visitors can experience and enjoy the true spirit of Ramadan.
