Chic designer brand Juicy Couture is heating up the holiday period with its stylish party looks for the festive season.
More than 35 women from the Friends of the British School of Bahrain were given an exclusive preview of the American brand’s winter collection at Kempinski Grand & Ixir Hotel Bahrain City Centre and Bahrain City Centre’s elite Taste of Fashion event.
The monthly affair which unites the kingdom’s fashionistas with the hottest trends was staged at the T-Spoon cafe which sported a more festive look with its wreaths, gingerbread house and Christmas cookies amidst Juicy’s pink flowers and assortment of glitzy accessories.
The Juicy Couture launch was a much anticipated event as it was rescheduled from its original November date due to a perceived increase in fiery road protests. The models that flew in from Dubai now felt more comfortable to travel to the kingdom and were ready to put on a show … and it was well worth the wait.
The world-renowned fashion brand, known for embodying the bright and attractive fun of its Los Angeles heritage, featured colourful and vibrant looks to suit any holiday occasion from dinner with the in-laws in glamorous denim and cosy knits to swanky dresses for an evening out with the ladies.
This season’s collection included varying shades of pink with funky textures, highlighted by intricate detailing such as contrast piping, leather trims, embellishments and decadent prints.
Guests sipped at their tea and coffee while sampling an assortment of pastries and yoghurt as models dazzled in one outfit after the other.
One model strutted her stuff in a dramatic maxi dress priced at BD150. The delicate lace dress had a romantic and modern feel with its combination of pink and black shades.
The dress was accentuated by a dazzling crystal riviere necklace worth BD60.
Another wowed the crowd in a silk navy blue jewelled collar dress with a vintage print and satin tie at the back, worn with black tights and sexy ankle boots. The dress worth BD55 had an easy and elegant flare that will surely turn heads at any party or even work function.
Somehow one model even made a casual outfit look cozy, flirty and fun with its Cora turtleneck priced at BD75 and bedazzled Sedgwick pant at BD90 and heels.
Other dresses that should definitely be on every woman’s shopping list include the opulent silk spaghetti strap maxi dress at BD180, the pink and black mini dress with a snow leopard print at BD110 and the floral primrose Stevie dress in silk charmeuse at BD120 that was worn with black tights and ankle boots. It can also be belted for a whole new look.

As models made their rounds, Sheila Ronido Juicy’s Al Aali Mall store manager and Raffi Sinanian the store manager at Bahrain City Centre’s branch, showcased the brand’s charms and accessories including glitzy silk scarves and snake skin clutches to the guests at their tables. The bracelets, clutches and handbags gave the ladies something to talk about with chunky decorative pieces and brightly-coloured leather straps.
One guest in particular loved their tiny corgi charm and their adjustable headphones starting from BD13.
In addition Juicy also introduced their new fragrance which was spritzed by the models on pink faux flowers that were handed out to the ladies.
The hotel’s general manager, Puneet Singh, said: “Taste of Fashion continues to successfully keep the fashion-forward public on their toes, by featuring drastically different fashion brands from month to month. With the festive season just around the corner, we are delighted to partner again with Bahrain City Centre this month to feature Juicy Couture’s fun holiday collection in T-Spoon.”
Furthermore, guests received complimentary gifts in Bahrain City Centre’s eco-friendly Fall for Fashion totes, with vouchers and treats from Juicy Couture, Bahrain City Centre, and Kempinski Grand & Ixir Hotel Bahrain City Centre.
Several lucky ladies walked away with additional prizes from the event’s raffle draw, which featured a BD50 gift card from Juicy Couture, a BD100 gift card from Bahrain City Centre, and a 60-minute spa treatment at Pure Spa in Kempinski Grand & Ixir Hotel Bahrain City Centre.
