THE new-look 2013 Grand Vitara was launched at the Suzuki showroom in Khamis by the marque’s dealers in Bahrain, Mohammed Jalal & Sons Automotive Division.
The third-generation model is a pure SUV, improved and engineered to offer even more efficient performance, practical urbanity and ease of use.
The Suzuki Grand Vitara’s 4-mode 4x4 system transmits power to all four wheels, ensuring positive traction regardless of the road surface. The two model configurations allow consumers to choose the model that is right for them.
The 5-door is directed at families and outdoor enthusiasts and the three-door version is aimed at customers wanting nimble agility and efficiency.
General manager Jamal Al Sayed, said: “The 2013 Grand Vitara is a unique SUV and a vehicle Suzuki are proud to introduce.
“It comes as a 100 per cent Japanese car, 100 per cent 4 x 4 and 100 per cent full chassis, which means it has a very solid build making it extremely safe. It can be used as a four or two wheel drive with excellent fuel consumption.
“A test drive is available at any time. We also drop the vehicle off to someone’s office or home so they don’t need to come into our showroom if they don’t want to.”
The Grand Vitara 2013 is a 2.4 litre four-cylinder engine that generates 166 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque.
Prices start from BD 9,995, bundled with free insurance, free registration, warranty for three years or 100,000 kilometres, whichever comes first.
