Gulf Weekly Road show rolls into university

Zayani Motors, the official dealers of Peugeot in Bahrain, staged a ‘road show’ at the Arab Open University (AOU) in a bid to encourage students to test drive the new 208.

Pupils at the university are currently undergoing exams and as a way to ease some of the tension, a stand was placed at the entrance of the building in Sehla, where valid driving license holders filled out a registration form with their details to be called later in the week to sample the delights of Peugeot’s latest vehicle.

Shabana Feroze, marketing manager at Zayani Motors, said: “For our brand activation, we decided to have the car displayed in universities as this is the right target audience for it.

“We’re taking down their names and contact details, and later on we’ll contact them to do a one-hour test drive and a special activity, which will be revealed later. We picked this university because they’re one of the top universities in Bahrain.”

Pupil Hani Hamza Ali, 24, from Sanad, was among the many who took the opportunity to put the car through its paces. He said: “I think it’s a very good idea to have a road show at the university. It’s a really nice and affordable car, I’m excited about the prospect of test driving it in the coming weeks.”

The starting price for the Peugeot 208 is BD5,950.
