BMW Group will unveil its new BMW M6 Series Gran Coupé – the third body variant of the BMW M6 high-performance sports car – to global audiences at the 83rd Geneva International Motor Show beginning on March 5.
Expected to go on sale in the Middle East during the middle of this year, the new member of the M6 family is set to attract crowds to the BMW stand with its customary M performance characteristics with extra helpings of luxury and aesthetic appeal. Following in the tracks of the M6 Series Convertible and Coupé that were launched last year, the Gran Coupé is set to cause a storm with its hard-hitting looks and head-turning, high-revving V8 engine.
The car will be immediately recognisable as an elegant and sporty 6 Series, but with enhanced M styling design cues that make it look sportier and more powerful. These elements include wider air intakes, stunningly contoured headlight units, the newly designed M kidney grille, which bears an ‘M6’ badge, and powerful 17 and 18-inch M light-alloy wheels.
Additional Geneva motor show model introductions for the BMW Group will include the 3 Series Gran Turismo, which boasts spaciousness and practicality in aesthetic form, the innovative i3 and i8 concepts and the Concept Active Tourer, which combines comfort with dynamism and style.
Dr Joerg Breuer, managing director of BMW Group Middle East, said: “The M6 Gran Coupé follows in the tyre tracks of the 6 Series Gran Coupé by offering a unique combination of sporty driving pleasure and elegant design, but at the same time, offering enhanced sporty style and increased engine power. It is these elements which will ensure the model stands out from the crowd at the Geneva International Motor Show.”
