Al Haddad Motors unveiled the new Mercedes-Benz A250 Sport at a spectacular ceremony at Bushido Restaurant in Seef, claiming it will soon become the ‘chariot of choice’ in Bahrain.
During Thursday night’s event, the marque’s Formula One driver Nico Rosberg raced along to introduce the sleek vehicle to members of the media, executives and supporters.
Graeme Newport, Al Haddad Motor’s general manager, said: “Mercedes-Benz is becoming the most dynamic premium brand in the world. As part of this development, the A250 Sport represents an important milestone.
“Smiles will broaden when learning that ownership of a car sporting the unmistakable status of the sparkling three-pointed star starts at just $37,000 (around BD14,000) GCC wide.”
The vehicle boasts AMG body styling, offers agile handling and a powerful four cylinder, two litre turbo-charged engine that produces a roaring 211bhp and 350Nm of torque.
As for the suspension, it has a four-link rear axle, electromechanical power steering with assistance functions and ESP with Extended Traction Control.
The exterior features a diamond grille, red brake callipers, 18-inch five spoke AMG light-alloy wheels in high sheen black finish and headlamps with red marker rings.
