Gulf Weekly Chinese restaurant opens its doors at mall

Chinese bistro, P.F. Chang’s, opened its doors at Bahrain City Centre by offering invited guests tiny treats, giving them a taste of the flavours on the menu.

P.F. Chang’s latest mall venture operated by Alshaya Trading Company has a seating capacity for 265 people and serves Chinese-inspired dishes combined with American hospitality in a sleek and contemporary setting.

It features cuisine from five regions of China starting with Mongolia and Sichuan, to Beijing, Shanghai and Hunan along with a variety of signature Asian delicacies on its a la carte menu.
Genaro Perez, vice president of International Marketing at P. F. Chang’s, said: “We are thrilled to bring P.F. Chang’s to the Bahrain community on a significant occasion which also marks the brand’s milestone 20th anniversary.”

VIPs and members of the media sampled an array of spicy shrimp, tender Mongolian beef on noodles, succulent chicken on white rice and Chang’s chicken lettuce wraps. The signature dish, the saucy Dynamite Shrimp, produced an explosion of flavours and proved popular with the launch crowd.

As people savoured the food they were entertained by a troupe performing a choreographed Chinese dance routine with traditional ribbons and paper umbrellas.

The PF Chang’s concept has won global awards for its fare and dining experience and boasts more than 200 outlets in the US and more than 30 overseas. The move into Bahrain builds on its success in the UAE and Kuwait.
