Gulf Weekly Could Rihanna be the next pop singer to guest star in New Girl?

New Girl star Lamorne Morris has revealed that he wants Rihanna to make a guest appearance on the show.

Morris told Vulture that he would like the Umbrella singer to play a love interest for his character, Winston.

“I would like to see him in a relationship,” said the actor and comedian. “Rihanna’s trying to act now so let’s bring her on.

“She would have to play somebody else though. I wouldn’t want her to play herself because she is probably a little wild for Winston. She would walk all over him.”

Rihanna made her acting debut in a cameo role in the straight-to-DVD film Bring It On: All or Nothing, released in August 2006. She also starred as Cora Raikes in Battleship, which was released in May 2012. The film and Rihanna’s performance both received mixed-to-negative reviews.

If the Barbadian pop star is interested in the role, she would not be the only songstress to have featured in the show. Taylor Swift made a guest appearance in New Girl’s season two finale.

Meanwhile, with anticipation tweaked for the next season, showrunner Liz Meriweather spoke about the show’s newest couple, Nick and Jess.

“I’m hoping that the end of the finale, as an audience member, you’re walking away not necessarily feeling like they’re riding off into the sunset, but jumping into something that is potentially ill-advised,” she said.

“They haven’t really dealt with all of their issues, but they’re kind of making this leap because they feel really strongly about each other, but there are still a lot of conflicts there.”

Meriweather also told HitFix that she ‘genuinely’ has no idea on how the season finale crossroad between Elizabeth and Cece will work out in Season 3, but  “something’s gonna happen!”

New Girl airs on Mondays at 9pm and 9.30pm and again on Tuesdays at 11am and 11.30am on Fox Series. It also airs on OSN Comedy HD on Thursdays at 6pm and Fridays at 9am and 11am.
