Gulf Weekly IN THE SPOTLIGHT

A Business Administration graduate of Stanford University, Mohammed Fakhro is involved in different capacities in dozens of family business ventures, which include Yellow Chilli, GAC, Suncity Ventures, Gloria Jeans Coffee, Vapiano and many others.

Mr Fakhro has also successfully introduced several new business ideas of his own to Bahrain under one umbrella (www.mbafakhro.com). In addition to pioneering several concepts in the integrated systems, marketing communications, and outdoor media and software industries, He is also involved in the regional education, healthcare, HC consultancy, shipping, food and beverage, telecom, banking, retail, real estate, construction and property development sectors.

With many unrealised ambitions and a host of new concepts in the pipeline, the Mohammed Fakhro story is just beginning. Constantly on the lookout for new business opportunities, Mr Fakhro believes that a successful entrepreneur is only as good as his last idea.

He is enthusiastic about the entrepreneurial cause and continues to support the economy of Bahrain, and the Gulf region as a whole, through the initiation of new business ideas and the creation of job opportunities.

In line with this vision, Mr Fakhro is a strong advocate of Tenmou, Bahrain’s first business angels network, donating 20 per cent of the advertising locations that he owns throughout the kingdom to this cause.

He believes that it is important for successful entrepreneurs to give back to the communities in which they operate and the best way to do this is to impart knowledge. This is why, in addition to being a Tenmou mentor, he also gives his time to youth and leadership organisation inJAz Bahrain, which has invited him to talk to students about leadership and the entrepreneurial spirit.

His hard-hitting, no-nonsense column will appear each week in GulfWeekly.
