Gulf Weekly Write to the editor

Thank you for the really lovely article in GulfWeekly – totally amazing to be on the front page.

We just arrived back in Bahrain this morning and you will probably not believe it, but I have to report that my suitcase, plus aforementioned posh frock, music, etc is on a journey all of its own ...AGAIN!

Aaargh! What is it with Etihad? This time my husband’s luggage is missing too.

At least I have no imminent performances this time and hopefully I won’t end up in A&E like last time with what turned out to be a panic attack from the stress just hours before the big concert.

Keeping fingers and toes crossed that they find the bags and get them to us quickly!

Erika Rawles,
Al Qurayyah

I’VE been a regular reader of GulfWeekly for a while now, and I’ve got to say your YouthTalk articles by Hannah Yahya are really making a difference. I loved her piece last week entitled ‘Living life inside Bahrain’s bubble’. I couldn’t agree with her more.

I’m looking forward to reading future articles. Keep them coming and all the best!

Dinesh R, by email.

I was hoping you could print this in the letters page. I’m flying to the UK this week to take part in the annual Moonlight Stroll 2013.

It’s a nine-mile sponsored walk starting at midnight in the picturesque city of Oxford. I’m meeting up with all my old (old!) nursing friends who all used to work at the John Radcliffe Hospital.

We will be raising money for Sobell Hospice where our teammate and friend Cath sadly died from breast cancer. She was an excellent nurse, mum and friend and is very much missed.

(This is the website for the event: https://www.oxfordmoonlightstroll.org.uk/).

Please wish me luck ( I’m very unfit and think this is going to be a challenge) and sponsor me! Here is the link to our fundraising page:

It’s going to be an eventful night!
